Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Almonds by De Scott Evans. The price achieved of USD 10,240.00 (€ 9,674.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by De Scott Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homage To A Parrot in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 194,500.00 (€ 157,247.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Almonds von De Scott Evans zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.240,00 (€ 9.674,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von De Scott Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homage To A Parrot im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 194.500,00 (€ 157.247,96).
