Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat in a Crate by De Scott Evans was sold in the American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 87,500.00 (€ 77,874.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by De Scott Evans - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Homage To A Parrot, which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 194,500.00 (€ 157,247.96).

Die Arbeit Cat in a Crate von De Scott Evans wurde im Mai 2017 in der Auktion American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 77.874,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
