Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work River Painting (La Seine) by Davide Balula. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,933.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Davide Balula - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Burnt Painting, Imprint Of The Burnt Painting, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 18,900.00 (€ 16,227.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit River Painting (La Seine) von Davide Balula zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.933,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Davide Balula mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Burnt Painting, Imprint Of The Burnt Painting beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 18.900,00 (€ 16.227,35) versteigert wurde.
