Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection, which included the work Dune Landscape with a Village by David Teniers II. The price achieved of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,096.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,400.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,645,000.00 (€ 4,071,789.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dune Landscape with a Village von David Teniers II zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.096,57) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.400,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Teniers II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.645.000,00 (€ 4.071.789,86).
