Safra - Selling Without Reserve auction at Christies in London in May this year. It achieved a price of USD 94,500.00 (€ 88,699.08), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,645,000.00 (€ 4,071,789.86).

Die Arbeit Portrait of a young gentleman, bust-length von David Teniers II wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 88.699,08) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Teniers II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.645.000,00 (€ 4.071.789,86).
