Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Landscape With Lightning by David Teniers II was sold in the Modern Medici: Masterpieces from a New York Collection auction at Christies in New York in January this year. The price achieved of USD 81,900.00 (€ 75,428.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,645,000.00 (€ 4,071,789.86).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 81.900,00 (€ 75.428,26) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden.
