This artwork by David Teniers II achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in July this year. In the Old Masters Part II auction, the work Three men conversing in a landscape, with a village beyond sold for GBP 69,300.00 (€ 80,852.10) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wine Harvest |《葡萄酒收穫》 in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 3,645,000.00 (€ 4,071,789.86).
