Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2009 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work An Extensive Wooded Landscape With A Biblical Scene by David Teniers I. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 11,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Teniers I achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Meeting of Jacob and Laban in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 302,401.06).
