Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Extensive River Landscape With Mercury And Argus by David Teniers I was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2011. The price achieved of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 44,612.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Teniers I have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Meeting of Jacob and Laban in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 254,500.00 (€ 302,401.06).

Die Arbeit An Extensive River Landscape With Mercury And Argus von David Teniers I kam im Dezember 2011 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 44.612,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Teniers I auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Meeting of Jacob and Laban im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 254.500,00 (€ 302.401,06).
