Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree of Life #6 by David Salle was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May this year. The price achieved of HKD 1,260,000.00 (€ 151,024.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Salle have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mingus in Mexico in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 608,750.00 (€ 694,094.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree of Life #6 von David Salle kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.260.000,00 (€ 151.024,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Salle auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mingus in Mexico im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 608.750,00 (€ 694.094,16).
