Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work The Beatles by David Oxtoby. The price achieved of GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,513.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by David Oxtoby have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2007 the work Ray Charles Blowing the Bagpipes was auctioned for GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,342.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Beatles von David Oxtoby zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.513,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von David Oxtoby konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2007 die Arbeit Ray Charles Blowing the Bagpipes für GBP 3.600,00 (€ 5.342,22) versteigert.
