Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Burnt Dome by David Nash was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in July this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,024.00 (€ 1,194.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Nash achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Charred Column in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 76,800.00 (€ 114,050.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Burnt Dome von David Nash wurde im Juli diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.024,00 (€ 1.194,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Nash erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Charred Column im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 76.800,00 (€ 114.050,40).
