Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hospital and square, Toledo, 1952 by David McClure was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 573.75 (€ 667.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David McClure achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figure in an Interior in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).
