Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Yellow Pepper And Mushrooms by David McClure. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,079.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by David McClure have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figure in an Interior in November 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yellow Pepper And Mushrooms von David McClure zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.079,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David McClure auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figure in an Interior im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.800,00 (€ 29.916,72).
