Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,111.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David McClure - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure in an Interior, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 18,800.00 (€ 29,916.72).
