This artwork by David Mach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2006. In the The Yoav Harlap Collection auction, the work Match Head sold for GBP 13,200.00 (€ 19,721.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Mach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Silver Back in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 74,500.00 (€ 95,906.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Mach erzielte im Oktober 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Yoav Harlap Collection wurde die Arbeit Match Head für GBP 13.200,00 (€ 19.721,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Mach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Silver Back im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 74.500,00 (€ 95.906,21).
