This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Hockney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nichols Canyon in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 41,067,500.00 (€ 33,579,313.16).
