Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David De Noter could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in May 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Belgian taking Tea changed hands for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,561.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David De Noter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La lecture, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 70,499.37).
