Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An odalisque on a terrace, Algiers by David De Noter was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,360.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David De Noter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La lecture in June 2015 with an auction result of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 70,499.37).

Die Arbeit An odalisque on a terrace, Algiers von David De Noter kam im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.360,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David De Noter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La lecture im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 70.499,37).
