This artwork by David Cornelisz. De Heem achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Still Life With Flowers, A Lemon, A Tangerine And Other Fruit sold for GBP 30,000.00 (€ 35,456.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Cornelisz. De Heem; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A tulip, pink roses, a crown imperial lily and other flowers in a glass vase, all on a stone ledge, surrounded by butterflies sold at auction in November 2010 with the realized price of EUR 67,000.00.
