Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Carr could be acquired at Christies in London in July 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work The Machine changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,434.56) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Carr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man And Machine II, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Carr konnte im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wechselte die Arbeit The Machine für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.434,56) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Carr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man And Machine II beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
