Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2013 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Folder of 50 Mechanical Studies by David Carr. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,481.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Carr - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Man And Machine II, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Folder of 50 Mechanical Studies von David Carr zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.481,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von David Carr mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Man And Machine II beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52) versteigert wurde.
