This artwork by David Carr achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2012. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Two sketchbooks of mechanical studies sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,699.83) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Carr; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Man And Machine II sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,702.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Carr erzielte im Dezember 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Two sketchbooks of mechanical studies für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.699,83) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Carr; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Man And Machine II im November 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 5.702,52).
