Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by David Bowie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in November 2009. In the Music auction, the work Montreux Jazz Festival sold for GBP 625.00 (€ 683.98) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Bowie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work D-Head IX in December 2018 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,004.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Bowie erzielte im November 2009 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Music wurde die Arbeit Montreux Jazz Festival für GBP 625,00 (€ 683,98) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Bowie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit D-Head IX im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.004,89).
