Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Band could be acquired at Christies in Melbourne in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, this work without title changed hands for AUD 358.50 (€ 224.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Band have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work My Favourite Things (Let It Bleed) in August 2004 with an auction result of AUD 3,585.00 (€ 2,080.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Band konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für AUD 358,50 (€ 224,83) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Band auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit My Favourite Things (Let It Bleed) im August 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 3.585,00 (€ 2.080,73).
