Auction result misses estimated price range
In October last year a collector was able to acquire the work Two Skulls by David Bailey for GBP 22,000.00 (€ 25,629.76). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by David Bailey have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2008 by the work Bob Dylan at USD 63,800.00 (€ 42,009.61).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two Skulls von David Bailey für GBP 22.000,00 (€ 25.629,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von David Bailey wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Februar 2008 die Arbeit Bob Dylan mit USD 63.800,00 (€ 42.009,61).
