In September 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Mallards In Flight by David Maass. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,811.93), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by David Maass have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 12,750.00 (€ 10,805.08) in August 2021 for the work Secluded Hideaway - Bob White Quail.
