Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Canada Geese Coming In For A Landing by David Maass for USD 4,063.00 (€ 2,988.82). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Maass - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Secluded Hideaway - Bob White Quail, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 12,750.00 (€ 10,805.08).
