Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2013 Christies in Paris held the auction Le goût Français - Arts décoratifs du XIIIe au XIXe siècle, which included the work Richard Sandhill Devant La Tombe De Reginald De Swenthall by Daniel Maclise. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 5,625.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Maclise achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Wrestling Scene in 'As You Like It' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 314,650.00 (€ 459,379.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2013 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Le goût Français - Arts décoratifs du XIIIe au XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Richard Sandhill Devant La Tombe De Reginald De Swenthall von Daniel Maclise zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 5.625,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Maclise erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Wrestling Scene in 'As You Like It' im Februar 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 314.650,00 (€ 459.379,08).
