Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Ottomans & Orientalists, which included the work The Street Vendors by Daniel Israel. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,758.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Israel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harem Beauties, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Ottomans & Orientalists durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Street Vendors von Daniel Israel zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.560,00 (€ 6.758,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Israel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harem Beauties beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.784,76) versteigert wurde.
