Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Daniel Gordon could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London auction, the work Portrait in Yellow and Red changed hands for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,447.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Daniel Gordon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase in October 2021 with an auction result of USD 15,120.00 (€ 13,088.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Daniel Gordon konnte im September 2016 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open | Post-War and Contemporary Art | London wechselte die Arbeit Portrait in Yellow and Red für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.447,66) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Gordon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still Life with House Plants and Pink Vase im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.120,00 (€ 13.088,64).
