In November 2006 Christies in London held the auction Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs, which included the work A Racehorse In An Extensive Landscape, With A Jockey, Groom And Trainer, A Racecourse Beyond by Daniel Clowes. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,840.00 (€ 14,612.71), 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Daniel Clowes; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eclipse, with jockey and groom sold at auction in June 2002 with the realized price of GBP 12,925.00 (€ 19,992.05).

Im November 2006 führte Christies in London die Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Racehorse In An Extensive Landscape, With A Jockey, Groom And Trainer, A Racecourse Beyond von Daniel Clowes zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.840,00 (€ 14.612,71) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Daniel Clowes; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eclipse, with jockey and groom im Juni 2002 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 12.925,00 (€ 19.992,05).
