Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Artist and Model by Dang Xuan Hoa. The price achieved of HKD 83,200.00 (€ 9,972.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 65,000.00 – 95,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dang Xuan Hoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art and Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artist and Model von Dang Xuan Hoa zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 83.200,00 (€ 9.972,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 65.000,00 – 95.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dang Xuan Hoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44).
