The work Self Portrait by Dang Xuan Hoa was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October this year. It achieved a price of HKD 70,400.00 (€ 8,513.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Dang Xuan Hoa have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Life in April 2008 with an auction result of HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Self Portrait von Dang Xuan Hoa wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 70.400,00 (€ 8.513,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dang Xuan Hoa auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Life im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44).
