Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dang Xuan Hoa achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October this year. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Portrait Of Dr Shirley S. Hui sold for HKD 153,600.00 (€ 18,575.02) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dang Xuan Hoa - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Life, which sold at auction in April 2008 for HKD 667,500.00 (€ 55,010.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dang Xuan Hoa erzielte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Dr Shirley S. Hui für HKD 153.600,00 (€ 18.575,02) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dang Xuan Hoa mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Life beobachtet, die im April 2008 für HKD 667.500,00 (€ 55.010,44) versteigert wurde.
