Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs From The Estate of Thomas T. Solley, which included the work New Haven Show Train, 1949 by Dan Weiner. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,360.00 (€ 2,539.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Dan Weiner have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2001 the work Women watching Joan Blondell in Grand Central Station was auctioned for USD 4,112.50 (€ 4,573.00).
