Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Crossing America: Photographs from the Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part I, which included the work Martin Luther King, 1956 by Dan Weiner. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,698.87). Other works by Dan Weiner have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 4,112.50 (€ 4,573.00) in October 2001 for the work Women watching Joan Blondell in Grand Central Station.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Crossing America: Photographs from the Consolidated Freightways Collection, Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Martin Luther King, 1956 von Dan Weiner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.698,87) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Dan Weiner haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.112,50 (€ 4.573,00) im Oktober 2001 für die Arbeit Women watching Joan Blondell in Grand Central Station beobachtet.
