signed, titled, inscribed and dated "This is up in Northern Washington near the Canadian Border. There hasn't been anyone in that boat for a while. Waterfall with Boat Dan Attoe 2014 I used to live on a river in Washington. In the winter it swells up to 15 feet above its summer height. Occasionally, huge uprooted trees would float by. One time an empty boat went by with a hat on the seat in it. My neighbor called the police." on the reverse

Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Waterfall with Boat by Dan Attoe for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,886.23). This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Attoe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Complicated Animals, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,613.14).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Waterfall with Boat von Dan Attoe für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.886,23) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Attoe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Complicated Animals beobachtet, die im Juli 2014 für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.613,14) versteigert wurde.
