Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Damián González could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Latin American Sale auction, the work Dominando el valle changed hands for USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,875.74) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Damián González have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Islote en la niebla in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 55,380.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Damián González konnte im Juni 2007 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Latin American Sale wechselte die Arbeit Dominando el valle für USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.875,74) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damián González auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Islote en la niebla im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 55.380,39).
