The work Him, From Pendle Witches by Paula Rego was sold in the Prints and Multiples auction at Bonhams in June this year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,048.00 (€ 2,383.52), 71% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paula Rego achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 3,065,000.00 (€ 3,519,471.52).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 71 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Him, From Pendle Witches von Paula Rego wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints and Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.048,00 (€ 2.383,52) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paula Rego erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dancing Ostriches from Walt Disney's 'Fantasia' im Oktober diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.065.000,00 (€ 3.519.471,52).
