Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three Vases by Lucie Rie was sold in the Modern British Art auction at Christies in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,791.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucie Rie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Yellow Footed Bowl With Bronzed Rim in September 2017 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 141,814.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three Vases von Lucie Rie wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.791,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucie Rie erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Yellow Footed Bowl With Bronzed Rim im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 141.814,10).
