Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pink Footed Bowl by Lucie Rie was sold in the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in October last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,760.00 (€ 38,165.04). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lucie Rie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yellow Footed Bowl With Bronzed Rim, which sold at auction in September 2017 for GBP 125,000.00 (€ 141,814.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pink Footed Bowl von Lucie Rie wurde im Oktober letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.760,00 (€ 38.165,04) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Lucie Rie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yellow Footed Bowl With Bronzed Rim beobachtet, die im September 2017 für GBP 125.000,00 (€ 141.814,10) versteigert wurde.
