This artwork by Dalek achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in April 2009. In the Saturday@Phillips auction, the work Untitled (Space Monkey) sold for USD 2,500.00 (€ 1,887.65) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dalek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Conform) - 1999, which sold at auction in October 2019 for EUR 5,149.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dalek erzielte im April 2009 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Saturday@Phillips wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Space Monkey) für USD 2.500,00 (€ 1.887,65) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Dalek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Conform) - 1999 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für EUR 5.149,00 versteigert wurde.
