Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Documentary 82, 1986 by Daido Moriyama was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in April last year. The price achieved of USD 5,670.00 (€ 5,381.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Daido Moriyama have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969 in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,700.00 (€ 40,323.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Documentary 82, 1986 von Daido Moriyama wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.670,00 (€ 5.381,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daido Moriyama auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Smash-up from 'Accident', 1969 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.700,00 (€ 40.323,79).
