This artwork by Da Chongguang achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2005. In the FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY auction, the work Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy sold for HKD 114,000.00 (€ 11,871.73) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Da Chongguang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Letters in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 149,000.00 (€ 110,084.96).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 90 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Da Chongguang erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion FINE CLASSICAL CHINESE PAINTINGS AND CALLIGRAPHY wurde die Arbeit Poem In Running Cursive Script Calligraphy für HKD 114.000,00 (€ 11.871,73) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Da Chongguang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Letters im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 149.000,00 (€ 110.084,96).
