Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Appeal to the Great Spirit by Cyrus Edwin Dallin was sold in the The American Scene including Important Photographs from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation auction at Sothebys in New York in May last year. The price achieved of USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,636.01) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyrus Edwin Dallin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Massasoit' in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 191,464.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Appeal to the Great Spirit von Cyrus Edwin Dallin wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion The American Scene including Important Photographs from the Helene Wurlitzer Foundation bei Sothebys in New York versteigert.
