The work The Protest 20 1/2 in. high by Cyrus Edwin Dallin was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. It achieved a price of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,645.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyrus Edwin Dallin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Massasoit' in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 191,464.90).

Die Arbeit The Protest 20 1/2 in. high von Cyrus Edwin Dallin wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.645,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyrus Edwin Dallin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Massasoit' im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 191.464,90).
