The work Ground Evading Figure #30 by Cui Jie was sold in the Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. It achieved a price of HKD 226,800.00 (€ 27,421.77), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Admittedly, works by Cui Jie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building in May this year with an auction result of HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 143,473.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Ground Evading Figure #30 von Cui Jie wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 226.800,00 (€ 27.421,77) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cui Jie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 143.473,72).
