This artwork by Cui Jie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May this year. In the Post-Millennium Evening Sale auction, the work Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building sold for HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 143,473.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 500,000.00. This high result makes Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building the most expensive artwork by Cui Jie that we have observed at auctions so far.
