Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Cui Jie achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Daughter Of The Sea sold for HKD 441,000.00 (€ 48,844.34) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cui Jie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building, which sold at auction in May this year for HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 143,473.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cui Jie erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde die Arbeit Daughter Of The Sea für HKD 441.000,00 (€ 48.844,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cui Jie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kunming Long-distance Telecom Hub Building beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 143.473,72) versteigert wurde.
